Lead Guitarist for Legendary Sunshine is Harold Hopper.

Harold was born in southern California. His musical
background is diverse. At the age of six, Harold was
already playing rhythm, lead guitar and lap steel. The
genre was country.

In junior high school he was approached by a sax player,
and asked to join a band. The first band was "The Earls".
Having just one week to prepare, he was able to make
the first job - ready to go - learing the material
by ear, the way he learned to play guitar.

This introduced him to rock n' roll guitar. He went
on to be a member of several rock bands while still
in school. The band "The Incentives" went into the
studio and cut an original demo record.

After being drafted into the Army, Harold performed
in a Special Services Band entertaining troops as
well as fulfilling his duties as a medic. Upon leaving
the military, he wound up playing 50's rock and country
rock music. Later working his way into a full time
country band and eventually his own band Broken Sky.
Now residing in Idaho, he and his wife Nancy have
formed a classic rock band called Legendary Sunshine.
This is the name of one of the bands he was in during
the late 60's. Since the music is the same kind and he was
an original member, the name was selected.

Harold is a songwriter and maintains a recording studio in
his home. Together with Legendary Sunshine, he plans to
release an original rock album soon.

Harold's varied background in music - country to classic rock,
including instruments like banjo, fiddle and drums allows the band
to play a variety of music styles including some southern rock
like Charlie Daniels Band. His main influences were Jimmy Page,
Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. He loves everything from
the Doors to AC/DC and it shows in what he brings to the live performances.

Harold's hobbies include motorcyling, exotic birds, oil painting,
web and graphic design, golf and many others.
